Chloramphenicol 1.0% + Hydrocortisone Acetate 0.5%
CPH 5gm Chloramphenicol + Hydrocortisone is a combination of two medicines: Chloramphenicol and Hydrocortisone. The combination of chloramphenicol and hydrocortisone is used to treat bacterial eye infections. Chloramphenicol is an antibiotic that inhibits bacterial growth by inhibiting the synthesis of important proteins that bacteria use to perform vital functions. Hydrocortisone is a form of steroid medication. It inhibits the development of certain chemical messengers (prostaglandins), which induce inflammation, swelling, and itching after an allergy or infection. Chloramphenicol+Hydrocortisone usually begins to function immediately after administration. It can, however, take a few days to destroy all of the bad bacteria and make you feel better.
Although CPH does not have that adverse effects and most people often use it but It is possible to experience temporary blurred vision, burning, stinging, or redness. Inform your doctor right away if either of these side effects persists or intensify.
