Polyethylene glycol+propylene glycol is a compound that combines two lubricating medicines. Polyethylene glycol + Propylene Glycol, both work in a similar way to natural tears and provide relief from burning and irritation caused by dry eyes. It belongs group of medications called “eye lubricants”. Dry eye is a common condition that is caused by allergies, eye infections, exposure to wind, air conditioning, and some medications. It helps to keep the eyes moist, protect the eyes from injury or infection, and reduces dry eye symptoms like burning, itching, and feeling like something is in your eyes. Common causes of dry eyes include exposure to wind, heat/air conditioning, prolonged use of computers, or reading for long periods. This medication helps to protect your eyes from these things.
Purpose: Polyethylene glycol+propylene glycol comes under the brand name Eylub-Peg (10ml) by Vee Remedies and is a clear, colorless, viscous liquid that readily dissolves many hydrophobic drugs. It is a widely used commercial solvent and vehicle for many pharmaceutical products and is safe for human use.
Directions to use
- Place the dropper directly over the eye and squeeze out 1-2 drops of the liquid, as needed.
- Look down and close your eyes for 1 or 2 minutes.
- Place one finger at the corner of the eye near the nose and apply a little pressure. This will prevent the medication from draining away from the eyes
- Store this medication in a cold and Dry place away from sunlight, pets, and the reach of children.

Precautions
