Polymyxin and Chloramphenicol Eye Ointment is an ophthalmic ointment that kills bacteria that cause conditions like Conjunctivitis, Keratitis, inflammation, and redness in the eyes. Polymyxin is an antibiotic that works by damaging the membrane of the bacterial cell. Chloramphenicol halts the growth of bacteria by stopping it from producing more proteins. The last ingredient, Dexamethasone Sodium Phosphate, is a corticosteroid that helps heal the inflamed, reddened eye. Together, they suppress the irritation and discomfort caused by the bacterial infection and provide relief.

Medicinal Benefits of Polymyxin and Chloramphenicol Eye Ointment

Application

• After comfortably lying down, pull your eyelid down and create a small pocket to apply the ointment.

• Close your eyes for at least 2 minutes and blink a few times for the cream to spread.

Course Duration

Storage
