It is very effective in treating infections of the lungs, skin, soft tissues, bones, joints, ear, throat, nasal sinus, and urinary tract. In some cases, it is also used to avoid the chances of infection during surgery. 

Ceftiofur Sodium Injection works by killing the bacteria and preventing them from forming the protective covering which is necessary for them to survive.
